Jiashan Wanlian City Hotel sits in the heart of Jiashan New Town’s core business district in Zhejiang Province, China. Built to five-star standards as a high-end smart luxury hotel, it’s geared toward business meetings and leisure travelers, with full amenities and easy transportation. It’s a landmark business hospitality venue in the region.
Project Challenges and Requirements
As a benchmark project in the core business district of Jiashan New Town, the client put forward multiple core requirements for the carpet:
• Functional differentiation by space: The banquet hall, guest room corridors, and other areas have very different usage scenarios, requiring different performance in terms of wear resistance, sound absorption, and ease of cleaning. Both functionality and design consistency had to be balanced.
• Strict delivery schedule: The hotel’s opening date was fixed, requiring precise alignment with the overall renovation schedule. Cross‑area phased construction placed high demands on supply rhythm and on‑site coordination.
• Design style compatibility: The hotel’s design theme is “modern luxury + local culture”. The carpet patterns needed to match the overall space style, while using differentiated colors and patterns in each zone to create a layered spatial atmosphere.
• Quality and environmental protection dual standards: As a high‑star hotel, the products had to meet strict tests for flame retardancy, wear resistance, and color fastness, as well as indoor environmental protection standards, ensuring healthy occupancy for guests.
Our Solutions and Service Process
Phase 1: Design co‑creation and zone‑specific customization
The Dongsheng team conducted multiple rounds of discussions with the hotel’s design team and project owner. Based on the hotel’s positioning of “smart luxury, business convenience”, a zone‑specific customized carpet solution was developed:
★ Public areas / guest rooms: High‑quality Axminster carpet was used throughout. With the high‑density seamless installation process, the overall space looks grand and neat, while offering high wear resistance and easy cleaning. Guest rooms create a quiet and comfortable resting atmosphere, and the carpet also provides enhanced wear‑resistance and anti‑soiling properties suitable for high‑traffic areas.
★ Banquet hall / meeting rooms: The Axminster process enables large‑area seamless installation, avoiding the impact of visible seams on overall aesthetics while meeting the sound absorption and noise reduction needs of large spaces.
Phase 2: Process matching and precise production
To meet the functional requirements of different zones, Dongsheng matched appropriate weaving processes:
For high‑traffic areas such as the banquet hall and public areas, an industry‑leading high‑density Axminster process was adopted, with a grammage well above the standard to ensure a service life of over 10 years, balancing texture and durability.
For guest rooms and irregular spaces, an Axminster seamless splicing process was used. Before production, 1:1 installation drawings were made for curved corridor areas to ensure precise pattern matching and no visible gaps during on‑site installation.
Before leaving the factory, all products underwent more than 20 full inspections covering flame retardancy, wear resistance, color fastness, etc., ensuring compliance with high‑star hotel quality and environmental standards.
Phase 3: Flexible production scheduling and batch delivery
To match the phased construction rhythm of the hotel renovation, Dongsheng activated a dedicated project team and split delivery into three precise batches:
First batch: Core areas with the earliest renovation progress – banquet hall and meeting rooms. Production was completed and delivered to the site within 30 days, matching the final stage of hard decoration installation.
Second batch: Guest rooms and public areas – delivered in line with the lobby hard decoration progress to avoid pre‑construction contamination and ensure the public areas were ready on schedule. After installation, rough cleanup was carried out simultaneously to guarantee zero contamination for guest room acceptance before opening.
Throughout the project, an on‑site coordinator was stationed to track construction progress in real time, responding quickly to urgent needs during installation – for example, when a fine adjustment was needed for the corridor pattern, the factory was contacted on the same day for replenishment, and on‑site adjustments were completed the next day.
Phase 4: On‑site guidance and meticulous installation
After the carpets arrived on site, the Dongsheng after‑sales technical team provided full‑time on‑site guidance:
Special attention was given to irregular areas such as curved corridors and the bases of columns in the banquet hall – on‑site measurement and cutting ensured that the carpet met the walls and column bases smoothly without curling.
Full follow‑up was provided for the large‑area installation in the banquet hall, guiding workers to achieve precise seam matching and ensuring overall pattern continuity.
After installation, acceptance was carried out together with the project owner, with thorough checks on edges, gaps, and other details to ensure all areas met delivery standards.
