Wool spinning and raw material preparation constitute the core upstream links of Dongsheng Carpet’s full industrial chain. We independently complete the whole workflow from raw wool selection and pretreatment to finished yarn production, supplying stable, high-quality wool yarn with uniform performance for subsequent processes including dyeing, carpet weaving and finished product finishing. This fundamental stage determines the carpet’s hand feel, color fastness, durability and long-term service stability, serving as the first critical quality control checkpoint across the entire industrial chain.

Wool Spinning Process Flow
Our wool spinning process is designed with “suitability for subsequent full‑chain processes” as the core principle. Each step takes into account both its own quality control and the requirements of downstream processes, ensuring that the wool yarn can smoothly adapt to dyeing,  high‑speed weaving and other subsequent steps.

Raw Wool Grading and Pre-treatment
Incoming raw wool is graded and sorted, removing impurities, low‑grade fibers. A low‑temperature, environmentally friendly wool washing process removes grease and dust. While preserving the wool' s natural elasticity and fibre structure, this improves yarn cleanliness and provides a more even base for dyeing.

Wool Yarn Blending and Fluffing
Precise blending, uniform fluffing and softening according to custom recipes. Environmentally friendly additives are added to reduce static electricity and fibre damage, ensuring even fibre mixing and consistent bulk, improving the stability of subsequent carding and spinning steps.

Wool Yarn Carding into Slivers
High‑precision carding equipment aligns fiber orientation, removes short fibers and impurities, produces sliver with even thickness. This ensures fibers are parallel and straight, providing stable material for the roving and spinning stage and reducing the risk of yarn breakage during weaving.

Drawing and Finishing
Multiple drawing and drafting steps further improve sliver evenness, stabilise weight and unevenness of sliver. This ensures consistent sliver thickness, provides precise material for spinning and guarantees batch‑to‑batch stability of finished yarn quality.

Spinning
Computer‑controlled drafting and twisting precisely control yarn count, twist and tension. Yarn is spun to meet the requirements of different carpet processes, ensuring yarn strength, evenness and smoothness, suitable for the operating demands of high‑speed weaving equipment.

Winding, Inspection and Warehousing
Automatic winding removes yarn defects and optimises package formation. Qualified yarns are sorted and stored, ready to enter dyeing, or to provide material support for weaving.

Dyeing & Finishing
It is the process of dyeing yarn and imparting rich colors to carpets. Dongsheng uses closed-loop eco-friendly lines with high-temp fixing for superior color fastness. Heavy-metal-free dyes and ISO 14001 compliance ensure global eco-standards.
Chemical Fiber Spinning
We produce PP BCF, nylon BCF, and heat-set yarns for carpets. With world-class equipment, we customize twist, elasticity, and stability to suit diverse weaving needs. This minimizes defects and ensures high-efficiency mass production.
Carpet Weaving
Dongsheng operates 49 world-class weaving lines (Axminster, Wilton, tufted, printed). Advanced looms and digital printers deliver complex patterns and massive volumes, catering to premium hotel customizations and large-scale distributor orders.
Final Finishing
We operate an automated finishing line with world-class equipment for cutting, binding, shearing, and packing. 4-aspect inspections (appearance, dimensions, performance, eco-safety) ensure superior flatness, pile texture, and stability, meeting global standards.
