The hotel design combines Swiss minimalist style with modern urban light luxury aesthetics, balancing international flair with comfortable living experience, striving to create a new landmark for urban business travel.
Project Challenges and Requirements
As a high-end light luxury business hotel in the city core, the client put forward stringent requirements for carpet comprehensive performance, design, delivery, and quality:
• Design consistency with zone-specific differentiation: The overall design follows the hotel's Swiss minimalist light luxury main theme, with consistent visual style throughout all areas. Different spaces such as the lobby, banquet hall, guest rooms, and executive floors need custom patterns and color tones tailored to their usage scenarios.
• Clear functional zoning requirements: High-traffic areas like the lobby and corridors require high wear resistance and easy cleaning; the banquet hall requires compression resistance and durability suitable for large events; meeting rooms and guest rooms focus on sound absorption, noise reduction, and comfortable foot feel; the executive lounge emphasizes high-end texture and style.
• Strict delivery schedule: The hotel opening date is fixed, requiring precise phased deliveries according to the renovation progress. On-site there are many long corridors, irregular corners, and curved edges, demanding high accuracy in carpet production and close coordination with on-site installation.
• High quality and environmental standards: As a high-end chain hotel, products must pass authoritative third-party international tests, fully meeting multiple industry high-end standards for flame retardancy, environmental protection, color fastness, wear resistance, etc.

Phase 1: In-depth communication and design co-creation
Immediately after project launch, the Dongsheng team conducted multiple rounds of in-depth discussions together with the hotel management and interior design team.
"We combined the hotel's overall design concept, conducted on-site surveys of spatial layout, lighting effects, and traffic flow, and custom‑tailored a complete carpet design solution," said the project's lead designer.

Phase 2: Process matching and precise production
After the design solution was finalized, the production team accurately matched weaving processes according to the usage scenarios of different areas, balancing aesthetics and practical performance.
"Public areas of the hotel see heavy daily foot traffic, so wear resistance and compression resistance were the primary considerations," said the production manager. For high‑load areas such as the banquet hall and lobby, a three‑dimensional hand‑tufted and Axminster weaving process was used, with high‑tenacity yarns to greatly improve wear resistance and resistance to matting, ensuring long‑term stable use.
For long corridors, irregular corners, and curved spaces, the team used the Axminster seamless splicing process to achieve continuous and complete patterns over large areas. The technical department prepared 1:1 on‑site installation drawings, marking mosaic and corner dimensions to ensure precise pattern matching and seamless installation on site.
All finished products underwent 100% full inspection before leaving the factory, completing more than 20 special tests including wear resistance, flame retardancy, color fastness, and environmental protection, fully meeting high‑end hotel quality specifications.
Phase 3: Flexible production scheduling and on‑time delivery
Given the multi‑trade cross‑construction situation in the hotel, carpet deliveries strictly followed the renovation schedule. Dongsheng set up a dedicated project team, integrating sales, production, logistics, and on‑site service personnel for overall coordination, and divided production and delivery into three batches:
★ First batch: Banquet hall (the area where hard decoration finished earliest) – production completed and delivered to site within 40 days.
★ Second batch: Lobby, leisure area, public corridors – precisely delivered to match the final stage of hard decoration.

A full‑time on‑site coordinator was stationed throughout the project to communicate real‑time progress. If any size adjustments or material replenishment were needed, the factory was immediately contacted for expedited handling – response the same day, replenishment completed the next day – to fully support the construction schedule.
Phase 4: On‑site installation and full guidance
After the carpets arrived, the Dongsheng after‑sales technical team was simultaneously stationed on site, providing professional installation guidance throughout.

For long corridors, curved corners, and irregular edges, the technicians measured dimensions section by section, guiding workers in precise cutting, splicing, and pattern matching to ensure continuous patterns and a flat carpet surface.
