The carpet surface features an abstract floral and foliage motif. Dominated by a burgundy and grey color palette and accented with light gold transition lines, it creates rich visual layers. It also provides excellent visual camouflage for luggage wheel marks and daily stains, making it highly suitable for large-scale, wall-to-wall installations in airport public areas.

Why must airport projects pay close attention to the "backing"?
When evaluating Axminster carpets, the backing serves as a critical dividing line between contract-grade and decorative-grade products. Our carpet backing is woven with high-tenacity polyester warp yarns and premium polypropylene (PP) weft yarns, further stabilized with structural latex.
1. Structural Stability: The pile yarns are woven directly into the backing (as opposed to being bonded post-tufting), eliminating any risk of delamination. After large-scale, wall-to-wall installation in terminals, the seams are highly resistant to splitting or buckling caused by temperature and humidity fluctuations.
2. Moisture and Mold Resistance: Compared to 100% jute backing, the synthetic polyester + PP backing is more resistant to corrosion and less prone to mold growth in high-humidity environments and under frequent cleaning. If a specific project specifies jute backing, it can be customized upon request.
3. Resistance to Trolley Crushing: The dense weft density, combined with the stabilized backing, ensures that the carpet face will not easily retain permanent indentations after repeated passage of luggage trolleys. The backing adheres tightly to the floor, and the edges will not curl.

FAQ
Axminster pile yarns are woven directly into the backing, not glued on. Therefore, under conditions of large-scale wall-to-wall installation, long-term rolling pressure from luggage trolleys, and periodic cleaning in airports, it will not experience common tufted carpet issues such as delamination, seam splitting, or edge curling.
The trade-off is that while Axminster offers greater flexibility in pattern customization and width adaptability, its unit price is typically higher than that of tufted products.
For VIP lounges and auxiliary office areas, pile weight or pile height can be appropriately reduced, but it is not recommended to compromise on the backing structure and weft density—reducing pile height only affects underfoot comfort and visual thickness, whereas the backing and weft density determine the carpet's dimensional stability and lifespan under rolling loads.
For airport public areas, a synthetic backing system made of polyester warp + PP weft is generally more recommended due to its higher fault tolerance against moisture and mold.
If the project technical specifications explicitly require jute, it can be customized upon request; however, the cleaning protocol must avoid highly acidic chemicals, and the substrate moisture content must be ensured to be within acceptable limits.
