Dongsheng Carpet Employees Take Part in the Rizhao Coastal Marathon
On October 29, 2023, the Rizhao Marathon kicked off at the Wanpingkou Coastal Scenic Area. The race course ran along the coastline, connecting seaside scenic spots and city landmarks. With its unique oceanfront setting, the event has become an annual sports celebration for the city, drawing runners from all over to the shores of Rizhao.
A group of Dongsheng Carpet employees formed their own running team, all wearing the company's uniform, and signed up for this beachside marathon.
Unlike a mandatory company-wide event, participation was completely voluntary. Many running enthusiasts among the staff started light training on their own during their free time ahead of the race. On race day, the team made their way steadily along the scenic coastal route, running freely in the sea breeze. They didn't focus on speed or rankings. When tired, they simply slowed down to a walk, chatting with each other along the way. Some family members of the employees came to specific spots along the course to cheer them on, and everyone enjoyed the sport in the beautiful setting of blue skies and ocean views.
