On August 10, 2026, Dongsheng Carpet brought together its technical, production and international sales teams for a new product seminar focused on the Axminster Carpet with Washable Backing, developed specifically for Middle East mosque projects. Discussions covered product structure, backing systems, wide-width manufacturing, prayer pattern design, sample approval protocols and mass production requirements.
Built exclusively for mosque prayer halls and Muslim worship spaces, this carpet features a 70% imported wool / 30% polyester pile, woven with 5-ply semi-worsted yarns. It is produced in wide widths of 4 or 5 meters, with a target pile height of 13–14 mm.
Important clarification: The term “washable” used herein refers solely to the carpet’s backing construction. It does not imply that the full carpet can be submerged, machine-washed or high-pressure cleaned under all conditions. The appropriate cleaning method must be determined based on the final backing specification, approved sample and on-site installation method.

Our Wide Width Axminster Carpet, available in 4 m and 5 m widths, is designed for large-scale prayer spaces and helps minimize seams during wall-to-wall installation. Final width, roll length and seaming layout will be confirmed based on the prayer hall dimensions, transportation logistics and installation direction.
As a specialized Mosque Axminster Carpet, this product can be fully aligned with a project’s floor plan: prayer niche sizing, spacing, orientation, borders and pattern repeats can all be adjusted to fit the exact dimensions of the prayer hall. It is suitable for full wall-to-wall installation, or can be manufactured as Custom Mosque Carpet area rugs in custom dimensions.
